I took my bf here as he has never been to Nottingham. We both like that it's a speak easy, and a bar with a bar within a bar. Barception. I quite like it's roped off, as you feel quite special when given access. The cave itself is cool. Drinks were nice. Items were off the menu. The cherry rum with coke was nice, think Dr pepper.
Decent drinks. Cool atmosphere. The mold covered walls in the lowered level discouraged us from hanging out down there for an extended period of time.
Gin and Rum bar, they didn't have any gin or rum...
Was told to choose a couple of drinks from the menu because they were so short of stock on Saturday.
They had basically nothing when we came to order. Had made no effort the adjust the menu to what they had available.
A complete joke.
Very strange experience, have to be let in by the door man and it isn't obvious where to go. Very cool though I loved being in a cave system. Smelt damp and everything was damp sure to the caves but to be expected. I'd go for a stop over but wouldn't stay. Staff were great.
Popped in for a cocktail on Saturday night. There aren't many spots to sit, luckily we found a little table in a nook. The bartender did us two White Lady's on their happy hour 241 deal, based on what we said we liked and they were delicious.
Great place. Just not good you can't take your drinks from one bar to the next. Worth a visit to each floor though
Enjoyed the cocktails there! Pretty unique and delicious cocktails. Also, loved the vibe and the music. Soon found out about the lost caves, they were stunning and the staff was really friendly. However, didn’t enjoy the drinks menu in the lost caves, it was pretty standard. They should offer the same drink they do upstairs at the bar.
But overall, great experience
A cool secret bar hidden beneath another bar, lost property.
So to find it you need to go through the hidden entrance to lost property, through the luggage door, then go down the stairs to an unassuming manned door.
Head down the stairs and you're transported to a hidden gem, a fun and tonic bar within a natural ancient cave.
Sure it's a bit damp and it has a bit of a smell but that soon fades.
Awesome bar, friendly staff, table service, it's all good.
Highly recommend.
